Despite some heavy downpours we were very pleased to see some of our regular users of North Wales Wheels for All and some new participants who were trying our cycling for the first time.
We had people and organisations from as fay away as Anglesey and Llandudno which goes to show the distance people will travel of the activity is inclusive, fun and enjoyable.
Leading up to the event and on the day, we had great support from Welsh Cycling the Marsh Tracks Foundation, Denbighshire County Council, who all played their part in promoting the event and supporting people on the day.
We also had great support from Tomcat and Da Vinci mobility who provided a range of cycles for people to try our and came out of the rain and cycled around the track – so thank you for your support. A special mention to “Stump and Cranks” founder for coming along and giving the young people help and advice!
It was so good to see the young people and all the individuals come along and in no time at all getting comfortable on a cycle and then cycle around the track, with their skills and confidence improving with each lap!
The Marsh Tracks Wheels for All event demonstrated to us that such facilities are ideal settings for people of all abilities to have access to a broad range of cycles, and then being able to cycle on their own terms.
The day was a resounding success, and now we are working hard behind the scenes to get everything ready for regular weekly Wheels for All activities at Marsh Tracks starting from September 2019.
