We are very excited to announce that through the great support of Steve Morgan Foundation we will be able to create a comprehensive cycling offer for all abilities through the Wheels for All programme across the North Wales region.
Working closely with various partners including sports development, adults services, SEN schools and colleges and various disability support agencies we will be bringing Wheels for All to Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy and potentially Gwynedd.
The aim is to offer a regular grassroots cycling activity embracing the efforts and achievements of everyone involved regardless of their ability. The venues and settings will be a mix of parks, cycle greenways and athletics tracks, which are ideal settings for those trying cycling for the first time or returning to cycling after long period way from cycling.
The support from Steve Morgan Foundation over a three year period will allow for adapted cycles to be based in various locations, supported with a strong training programme, Wheels for All engagement festivals, regular sessions, which will all be co-ordinated by a Wheels for All projects officer.
We are truly excited about creating a sustainable community cycling offer for the regions of North Wales – its a complete honour to bring the Wheels for All programme to North Wales.
Wheels for All activities will give inactive people regular opportunities to be active in settings that are relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. We will focus on offering activities that will allow all of the family to participate.
