Cycling Projects are pleased to report our national Wheels For All conference was a huge success.
Taking place during the Cycle City conference in Leicester on Friday 20th May, the Wheels For All conference saw a fantastic gathering of a number of current WFA centres, participants and prospective new partners. The day included a vast array of fascinating speakers and workshops, giving all involved some real insight into the world of inclusive cycling.
As always, it’s great to get together and showcase the strong work we are engaged with across the national network of Wheels For All centres. But some of the key findings from the day were:
- A real sense of purpose and a gathering momentum to join the national network
- A strong direction of delivery; we have a great product and are key to unleashing the potential of centres to open up inclusive cycling to more people
- A desire to meet more regularly as a network, at least once a year
- Keynote speakers and the workshops were a great opportunity to see examples of good practice and a platform for discussion
We would like to offer a huge thank you to Leicester City Council and Landor for getting us involved in the event. It is fantastic to see inclusive cycling sharing a platform with current cycling strategy on a national scale, and we hope that will continue for many more years to come.
