The launch of Cycling Projects North Wales Wheels for All was a great success.
Thanks to funding from the Steve Morgan Foundation, Cycling Projects is able to set up Wheels for All centres across Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy and potentially Gwynedd. The settings will be a mix of local parks, cycle greenways and athletics tracks, safe spaces for those trying cycling for the first time or returning after a long period away.

Through the Sport England Opportunities Programme, Cycling Projects is pleased to announce the creation of a national volunteer campaign that will recruit and retain new volunteers and support existing volunteers as they continue to play a crucial role in the successful delivery of Wheels for All and Pedal Away programmes.
To deliver the series of volunteer campaigns, we are recruiting a national volunteer co- ordinator who will work with a number of our partners including County Sports Partnerships, English Federation of Disability Sport, Mencap, Leonard Cheshire and British Cycling.
As the national volunteer co-ordinator you will be responsible for the recruitment and retention of new volunteers through the creation of effective volunteering campaigns. The work themes will focus on creating volunteering opportunities for disabled people and creating volunteering opportunities for people not involved in sport but keen to support the aims and objectives of the charity.
You will also work closely with the existing Wheels for All network to create volunteering pathways through to existing cycling clubs and to create formal partnerships with Wheels for All Centres and disability support organisations. You will also manage a growing network of partners, recruiting and retaining volunteers to support the Wheels for All programme in specific regions across the country.
You will be a highly motivated individual with experience of working across a broad section of partners. You will ideally have experience of working within the volunteer sector and experience of working with people of all abilities and community members. You will be enthusiastic, driven, well organised and able to engage with people on a daily basis.
Essentially, we want you to create a solid movement of volunteering activities across the Wheels for Al network. You will be part of an effective and exciting movement of bringing cycling to people on a daily basis across many locations regardless of their ability.
Application deadline is Monday 12th March at 5pm & Interviews will be held week commencing 19th March
To apply, please request an application pack and return the application form along with your covering letter & email to email@example.com by Monday 12th March at 5pm

The charity, Cycling Projects has secured funding from the Steve Morgan Foundation to set up Wheels for All centres over the next three years across Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy and potentially Gwynedd. The settings will be a mix of local parks, cycle greenways and athletics tracks, safe spaces for those trying cycling for the first time or returning after a long period away perhaps due to limiting health conditions.
New project co-ordinator, Janet Gregory, is working closely with occupational therapists, sports development, local council and healthcare staff.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to extend the 50+ Wheels for All centres already running successfully. We welcome the involvement of individuals, groups and families. If you would like to find out more, perhaps train as a volunteer, donate a bike, fundraise for us then please do get in touch with me.”
